What I've Been Watching
A British Competition Show [That is not 'GBBO'], a YouTuber's temporary return from Sabbatical, and more.
Another few weeks have gone by. That means another chance to head down a spiral, learn something new, or completely zone out.
Though I haven’t gone all in as I did with The Punk Rock MBA’s video there are quite a few fun, exciting videos I’ve found.
Let’s break down what I’ve been watching!
Celebrities + Puzzles = A Fun Time
I stumbled across full episodes of Taskmaster on the show’s YouTube channel and went on a mini-Taskmaster binge. I’ve got to say it’s honestly a delightful distraction watching comedians, actors, athletes, and musicians solving puzzles and riddles in the most ridiculous ways.

Public Policy, Progress & The Question of Fair Use Returns
Ask a Mortician has returned [sort of]! The popular YouTuber briefly returned from her sabbatical to share some policy changes proposed by the Federal Trade Commission [FTC] to bring more transparency to pricing in the funeral industry. Check it out.
vlogbrothers, the YouTube channel shared by John and Hank Green, has been a fantastic addition to my regular YouTube rotation. The channel is wonderful, from the brothers’ banter back and forth to John Green’s Tuberculosis mic drops to the gentle, encouraging words you didn’t know you needed.
So, it’s not surprising that in about two weeks, they can go from posting an open plea to a big pharma manufacturer behind a Tuberculosis testing component to educating viewers about what makes Tuberculosis tricky to announcing positive changes made towards helping marginalized global communities fight the disease and move towards eradication.
LegalEagle is one of the only legal channels I follow [which I should probably fix soon], and his latest upload broaches a commonly misstated legal concept: Fair Use. Using a fitting example, he can plainly explain what Fair Use is and how Fair Use works within the confines of reaction channels. Check it out!
Hello, New Earworms
I’ve been mesmerized by the song and the music video stylings of Jungle. Thanks to that dance trend, I found their video for “Back on 74” and my GOODNESS. The choreography and how smoothly and expertly it is executed is fantastic. Paired with the somewhat soothing and funky rhythm, the song’s got, and you’ve got an earworm.
I started listening to their catalog and found “Casio” to be just as hypnotic. Check that one out below.
Old Favorites & New Watch List Additions
Ryan Hollinger’s Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy commentary series has also been fun to follow, especially when looking at these movies from another angle. The final video in the series just posted, looking at The World’s End.
While Amanda the Jedi shared her thoughts on a film festival watch, Sanctuary. Her description of the wild events unfolding over a roughly 80-minute film and her reaction made me want to immediately add it to my watch list, even after being so far removed from watching it. Also, I’m dying to figure out what constitutes a “demented rom-com.”
Check it out below.
That’s what I’ve been watching for the last bit. Let me know what you all have been watching and if there have been any rabbit holes you’ve been down this week!
